In 1989 Louise was commissioned by the Indian Government to spend a month designing and creating with three exporters of jewellery, her stay in Delhi and Mumbai left a lifelong love of India , the colours, patterns, and beautiful architecture. You can see this influence in her work to this day.
Having sold her collections internationally in Japan, America, Belgium, France, Hong Kong and Canada and in the UK in Liberty, Harrods, Fenwicks, Fortnum and Mason, and designing bespoke ranges, including for The V & A Shop, The Royal Pavilion, De Beers, Links of London, M&S and RBG Kew, Louise now sells her work through exhibitions in local galleries; and yearly with the Aldeburgh Studio Trail in June, at Salisbury House, Aldeburgh.
Louise designs and makes jewellery in her studio in the beautiful seaside town of Aldeburgh, Suffolk and is made in sterling silver, most pieces are cast from an original which Louise makes in silver - ready for sending to the casters, then Louise can order from this collection of designs to make up into earrings etc, back in her studio- so are a good weight, and then hand finished. Other work is hand built and unique so are usually a one-off piece.
The scrolls used for pierced earrings are a sturdy medium large.
These pieces make great personal treats and wonderful unique gifts.
