Baby Ginkgo Leaf on LMS wires to swing from your lobe!
Ginkgo biloba, known as ginkgo, also spelled gingko, or as the maidenhair tree, is the only living species in the division Ginkgophyta, all others being extinct. It is found in fossils dating back 270 million years.
This silver ginkgo leaf drop earring is softly textured on it's undulating form and hang from a gently curved wire.
I designed this piece for RBG Kew in 1999 as part of a larger range that sold at Kew Garden for many years.
Originally the design on these earrings was engraved by master engraver George Lukes. George was regarded as one of the finest engravers of his generation and I had the honour of meeting and working with him on several of my designs in the 80's and 90's.
