On the go!
Smallest gecko leaping from a round pad - textured using reticulation - heat treated to melt the surface and create an 'orange peel' look
Jaragua dwarf gecko, native to the British Virgin Isles, is one of the smallest geckos on earth. This species is believed to only live in the Jaragua National Park, a national park of the Dominican Republic and found in the island’s forests
These carved geckos in limestone are on the beautiful original front entrance doors to the Museum, now in the John Madejski Garden, designed by James Gamble & Reuben Townroe based on designs by Godfrey Sykes, 1868. V&A Museum opened its doors in 1852. These gardens were gradually built over as the Museum expanded and today the enclosed garden courtyard, formed between 1857 and 1909, the decoration of the façade proclaims the Museum's founding aims and its devotion to education and design
