Back in the 90's I was commissioned by the V&A Museum to create a range of jewels on the theme of ancient Greek decorative motifs - Anthemion - the Greek word for flower
Sold through V&A in London for many years, I have given this design a new lease of life in these solid silver earrings with a pointed teardrop turquoise blue Amazonite drop
Amazonite is a bright green/blue variety of microcline feldspar. The name is taken from that of the Amazon River, from which certain green stones were formerly obtained but it is doubtful whether green feldspar occurs in the Amazon area
