This briolette measures 15 x 10mm and is typical of the colour of Prehnite

Known for its use in jewellery and for its purported metaphysical properties, including promoting unconditional love, inner peace, and intuitive abilities

It was first discovered in 1788 and named after Colonel Hendrik von Prehn who was born in Cape Town

Prehn discovered this new mineral, a silicate of calcium and aluminium, in a Jurassic-age dolerite in the Cradock district of the Cape Colony. It was analysed and named prehnite by the famous German neptunist geologist A.G. Werner. The mineral was the first to be named and described from South Africa, and was also the first to be named after a person

 In 1770 he married Catharina M. Kirsten, with whom he had three children

It's found in various locations worldwide, including Canada, South Africa, and the United State
